The Iota Eta Chapter
Of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 15th, 1908 at Howard University in Miner Hall, making the Sorority the first African-American female Greek letter organization of its kind. It was created by 20 ground-breaking women who had a vision of service, sisterhood, and scholarship never before accomplished. These women saw the immense importance of these values, therefore later making the Sorority the first to be incorporated on January 29, 1913. Since then the Sorority and its members have made positive changes throughout the world. To learn more please visit our national website.
